Introduction
Amy Phenix, Ph.D., provides court qualified expert opinions on sex offender evaluation and sex offender risk assessment for the United States Attorney, the Joint Forensic Unit in Washington, and several other state jurisdictions.
She has provided training workshops nationally on sex offender evaluation, sex offender risk assessment and issues in court testimony for sexual offender cases, as well as on the development and scoring of the Static-99R and Static-2002R actuarial instruments that measure sex offender risk of recidivism. Additionally, she was responsible for training sexually violent predator evaluators in California from 1996 to 2009.
Dr. Phenix’s previous experience includes full-time, government employment as a psychologist/forensic psychologist in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, California Parole Department, and the California Department of Mental Health.
